Drabbles!
So my thoughts are: There are probably a few nice scenes for Second Year, but they can be written in Drabbles! We can write them when we feel like it and since they could all pretty much exist outside the flow of regular cannon I'll list some ideas here.
Our heroes learn new spells.
Fred and George get into trouble on various occasions, Holly often with them.
Gilderoy Lockhart teaches and is a complete chairwad. His opening test is a low point of the whole series.
Evie begins her quest to prove that he is, in fact, a chairwad.
Evie is persecuted maliciously by the Slytherins, not least because she scraped better marks than Draco at the end of last year's exams. They have also learned some shiny new words, 'Mudblood' being among them.
Theodore Nott thinks all of this is ridiculous. Theodore Nott considers himself above all this. Theodore Nott is has a slightly salty attitude about the friendship he and Evie Hall formed over that first banquet dinner and the remarkable contrast between the first banquet dinner of this year- but then, Theodore Nott has a slightly salty attitude about most things.
